Susan Ann Allen (nee Guidry), on September 22, 2023, of Mantua. Age 71. Daughter of the late Gilbert and Kathryn (nee Devlin) Guidry. Beloved wife of the late Paul Allen Sr. Dear sister of William (Stuart) Guidry, Mary Ann (Harry) Olmo, Francis (Fran) Guidry, Kathryn (Edward) Mogck, Eileen Blemings, and Kevin (Janice) Guidry. Loving mother of Alicia Allen, Paul Allen Jr. (Tonya), and Kelli Allen. Cherished grandmother of Paul III and Zachary. Loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Susan enjoyed spending time with Paul Sr. at their beach home in Avalon, floating in their pool at home, and visiting Disney. Her children affectionately loved to call her “Sue El” and ask if she was wearing her “rawr rawr” today. Sue’s favorite people, her grandsons, called her Mom Mom, and were the center of her world. Sue’s friends playfully called her “Radar” as she was precise and keen to detail, especially at bowling. If you knew Sue, you knew all her funny quirks and superstitions including her affinity for even numbers, the obsession to always fold any bag in a room, and how she found it essential to always be wearing lipstick, even in her sleep. Sue had a green thumb which she used to tend to her flowers. She was also an avid reader. Sue loved to banter about her precious Eagles and Phillies. Sue parted everyone she saw each day by saying, “You make my heart smile.” She will be missed by many.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, September 28th 8:30-10:30 am at Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Township. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Blackwood.
Please feel free to wear something pink as it was Sue’s favorite color, and she was a two time breast cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sue’s memory may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation by clicking on the link.
