On August 2, 2023, of Sicklerville. Age 73. Beloved husband of Marissa (nee Stucke). Devoted father of Melinda Frontado (Ed) and Dana Maiocco (Gabe). Loving grandfather of Nate, Ciara, Carson and Cooper. Dear brother of Barbara Prudente and Michael Maiocco.
Steve grew up in Havertown, Pa. He attended Cardinal O’Hara High School where his team won the championship title and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015. He was a Wildwood Crest Lifeguard from 1970 -1980. His career started at Abbott Labs in 1981 until he retired and join the Mercedes Benz Family. He will be remembered for the many years he watched his grandkids play sports. He loved boating, fishing, playing cards, but most of all, he enjoyed watching TV. He will be remembered for his big smile and endless jokes. His love for family was always his happiness.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, August 11th, 8:30- 10:15 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am, at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, Washington Twp. Interment Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery, Washington Twp.

Coach Maiocco was a wonderful person to play for. He was a "cool dude" and I grew a moustache just like him. He was part of the Textile family while I was there and I will always remember him as that guy. Sincere condolences for the family.

Steve was not just my friend, my rowing partner, but a member of our family. All of us will miss his great smile, his competitiveness, and his friendship . The Freeman family send condolences to the entire Maiocco family. I am so grateful that I had such an inspiring role model in my life those years that we spent on the beach together. Dear Marissa and Maiocco Family,
Jackie, our family, and I have you all in our prayers and thoughts. I found a few photos of Steve I hope brings smiles to your faces for a very wonderful guy and friend.
Two quotes from my favorite movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life."
"Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. And when he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?” "Remember, no man is a failure who has friends.” (Adding who has family.)
Steve like many of us owe a lot from the wonderful experiences we shared on the Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol, WCBP. Steve and I were rowing partners, sat up on stands next to each other, and rode the jeep together. As we went our different ways in life we lost touch with each other until meeting at a number of the WCBP reunions. There we shared many stories with a few beers. As for both Steve and I family became a very important part of our lives.
Rest in Peace my dear friend.

I’ll always remember Steve. My first year as a guard (1971), I did not have a rental secured for the summer. Steve graciously offered his place. I was a green 15 year old but Steve was so nice to allow me to stay there for my first summer. I stayed with him and two other Crest guards. They never told me that they were all leaving for college middle of August, haha! Steve always helped me and answered the many questions I had. I never forget all the great advice he gave me too!
