Oh Cindi, I just heard this awful news about Steve. Please accept my condolences. Steve and I went to Pharmacy college together, from day 1,sharing lunches with the So Philly crowd. Steve had a sunny personality, and was a great guy, taken too soon. So very very sorry.

Keeping you all in my prayers. Very sorry for your loss. I was fortunate to work with Steve thru the years at Smith Brothers' s Drugs . Always with a smile, positive outlook and professional attitude. One of the best in our profession. Will be missed very much.

It was so heart-breaking when I heard of Steve’s passing. We had many good times during our younger years. Every time I hear a Cat Stevens song it would bring back memories of the days when I use to hang with Steve back in high school and the time that we worked together at Gino’s flipping burgers. We truly lost a great person with Steve’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Cindi and the family.

He was on my interview panel when I got hired and I’ll never forget how he made me feel at ease during that hour. He was my Philly brother and we would share stories of the old neighborhood and our families. He was a true family man, always talking about his wife and kids and sharing photos of his grand babies. I will be forever thankful for the time I was able to spend with Steve. As part of the GPO team at AZ - Steve, Amy and I attended many a meeting that caused us to leave our families and homes. Steve always made that time away cheerful and fun and helped the time fly by while away from our loved one. Steve was; supportive, positive, caring and just plain fun to be around - his personality was infectious. I have so many wonderful memories of Steve that I will cherish forever but my thoughts flash back to what a tragic loss we have all suffered. Our hearts are broken. There are no words that could say what we are feeling. Our pain could never be as great as yours though. Know that our love is with you and your family.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to the entire Cifelli Family. I had the distinct pleasure of working with/for Steve on two separate occasions dating back to 2002, when he was my Regional Sales Director. His enthusiasm was infectious, his sense of humor helped put everyone at ease, and he was truly one of the most genuine and authentic people whom I had the privilege to call a friend. I will never forget all the times that he would come out of his office after a heated conversation with someone not doing their job effectively, but he would always smile and ask me how my family was or talk about how terrible the Flyers & Eagles were playing! His family was the most important thing in his life, and he loved to talk about how much fun they would have every weekend! I will always respect him immensely for truly understanding what his priorities were in life. The news of his passing has been extremely difficult for me, and I cannot fathom the devastation it has been for his family. Your family will remain in my prayers, and I hope that you all know how much joy and love that he has brought to so many people who were lucky to have known him.

We both lived on 29th street in Philly, about one block from each other. We went to grade school and high school together. We had a lot of fun together through all those years and into our young adult lives. So many good memories from Philly & Wildwood. Steve was a kind, considerate, smart, successful & fun-loving guy. It feels so unfair to lose him. My deepest sympathy to Steve's family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Steve for years as one of the Regional Sales Directors at AZ and we stayed loosely in touch via Facebook. He was such a gentle nice person who always was reasonable and kind with people - also funny! His death has shaken all of us and who have reconnected now via text. I am so sorry for you Cindi and your family. I find myself drawn closer to my own family when I hear about these tradegies. There is a hole in the world now without him here. I feel fortunate to have known him and called him a friend for many years. All my best to you all.

Cindi and entire family - there is nothing that can be said or done that will take the pain away right now, but I hope that the reflections on Steve's life will give you comfort and eventually peace. Most people will describe those they work with and like by saying: "He's a good guy/ She's a good woman" Steve made such an impression on people that those generic words were never sufficient. When his name came up you'd here "he's the best", "he's so funny", "everyone loves Steve". When I think of Steve, the 2 words I use are kind and generous. Steve was always willing to help anyone and always generous with his time/knowledge. Even in retirement he made himself available to help me. He'd end every call with "call me anytime, I'm not going anywhere". Oh how I wish that were true and he were still here with us. His love for his family and willingness to put you all first have always been inspiring. You all will be in my prayers and I pray that Steve is right now enjoying his reward for a life well lived.

I’m so sorry and shocked to read this. It’s so unfair. Steve deserved a great retirement and he would’ve made the most of it. I worked with him a long time ago; great guy and great colleague. He was that perfect blend of someone who took their work seriously but wasn’t serious. He will be remembered.

The news of Steve’s tragic loss hit me really hard this week. My heart aches for your family as I know how deeply he loved you. As an Italian American with roots in S. Philadelphia, I related to him with regard to his strong work ethic, and pride of family and culture. I worked with Steve when AZ had the business center in Chesterbrook and quickly learned how kind and authentic he was, such a caring, dedicated man.
