Sonia B. Scavetta
(nee Spuler) On February 28, 2026, of Washington Twp. Age 84. Beloved wife of Charles. Devoted mother of Dean Scavetta (Kim) and Brian Scavetta (Rachel). Loving grandmother of Gabriella, Nico, Giuliano, and Sofia. Dear sister of Lillian Fidelli (Tony), Dan Spuler (Dianne), and John Spuler. Loved by nieces, nephews, and many close friends. Survived by extended family members Jimmy, Kevin, and Jenna.
Sunny had a vibrant personality and a love for life that showed in everything she did. She was an avid pinochle and bridge player who enjoyed the camaraderie and friendly competition that came with a good card game. She loved traveling with family and friends, creating lasting memories along the way. Adventurous at heart, she even enjoyed roller coasters and amusement rides, something that always surprised those who didn’t expect that fearless side of her.
Her kitchen was the heart of her home. Sunny spent countless hours cooking and baking, always preparing something delicious for family gatherings or simply because she knew someone was coming by. Food was her way of showing love, and no one ever left her home hungry.
Nothing brought her more pride than her grandchildren. She faithfully attended their sporting events from the time they were young, cheering them on with unwavering support. She also took great joy in watching her granddaughter develop her culinary talents, proudly attending events to see her cook as a pastry chef at GCIT. She also thoroughly enjoyed her lunches, coffees and shopping with her granddaughter.
Sunny will be remembered for her warmth, strength, devotion to her family, and the love she poured into every meal, every game, and every moment spent together.
