Shirley E. Filderman
Shirley E. Filderman was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She left this world to join her loving husband, Robert, on March 29, 2022 from complications of liver disease and stroke at age 87.
Shirley was born to Hilda and Samuel Chapman in Philadelphia, PA, on July 16, 1934. After graduating high school, she was employed as a bookkeeper at a local bank.
Later, after raising four children, living in three states, and Toronto, Canada, they settled back in New Jersey, where Mom always called home. She held a board position in the business her husband and son had started, R & R Associates.
Shirley met her husband Robert at a dance in Philadelphia and six weeks later they ran away to Maryland to marry in 1955. They were married 48 wonderful years. Robert passed away suddenly in 2003.
Shirley was blessed with a large and loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Roche and her husband Stephen, her son Robert S. Filderman and wife Sharon, son Ronald Filderman, and daughter Sherri McFerren and husband Curt. She is also survived by her brother Samuel Chapman and his wife Gina.
Shirley was loved by her grandchildren, Nicole Roche and spouse Hana Georg, Ashley Roche, Frank Markovich and wife Michelle, Kristen Stamm and husband Shaun Stamm, Shawn Filderman, Chrissy Filderman, Jake Filderman, Summer McFerren and Curtis McFerren.
Shirley was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Balor Stamm, Remi Stamm, Zoey Filderman, and Damien Filderman.
Mom will be dearly missed by all.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Friday 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 10:30 AM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp.
