Shawn G. Menzies, on January 4, 2015, of Mantua Twp. Age 39. Beloved husband of Lisa (nee Greifzu). Devoted father of Brooke. Dear brother of George Wood, Robert Wood (Denise) and Mary Moore. Loving son of the late George and Helene (nee Dougherty) Menzies. Dear son-in-law of Christopher and Christine Greifzu and brother-in-law of Kate Greifzu.
Shawn was born on March 17, 1975 and was raised in Washington Township, New Jersey. He was friendly and outgoing and was well-liked by those who knew him. He enjoyed sports and liked to play ice hockey. Shawn also enjoyed listening to his favorite bands.
Shawn attended Washington Township High School. After graduating from Rowan University, Shawn began his career as a reporter for the Gloucester County Times. He also worked as a township clerk.
He and Lisa were married for 10 years. With their daughter Brooke, they enjoyed family outings to the shore, Disney World, and time with friends and family.
Shawn will be loved and remembered by his family and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday 9:00 – 11:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 11:00 am. Interment private.
