Looking at the pictures from our July 2000 trip to Italy with Sam, Nancy, Jim and Brian, we have such fond memories of Sam. It was a busy itinerary and our guide Fabio, with newspaper waving overhead, kept our group at a fast pace to see it all. We were having a hard time keeping up, but there was Sam way ahead of us up front of the group - just amazing! Sam was wonderful company, always up for anything, always smiling, just having a good time and enjoying everything around him. Sam will live on in all of our hearts, but especially those family members that he loved so dearly. Our heartfelt sympathy is with the family during this very difficult time. We grieve with you too. Love, Carolyn Malin and Gail Leverage
I am sending a message to Sam's family on behalf of Thomas Ayres. They worked together at the old Public Service Bus Garage in Camden, for about 20 years. Tom learned about repairing buses from Sam. More recently{for about 6 years}, Tom and I would drive Sam to and from 25 Year Club meetings and Dinners. Sorry we cannot attend the Services this week. Tom has been experiencing severe back pain and is under doctors' care. Thinking of the family at this time. Fondly....Tom and Marian Ayres. Blackwood, NJ

I remember Sam telling me to stop smoking , which he was right and I did. He also made delicious homemade cookies. He enjoyed his night out playing BINGO with friends & family. He enjoyed his garden and always wanted to give you something to try . He will be missed but he is in good hands and looking down on us. He's in a peaceful place. God is by his side Diane Rainey

I send my condolences to the family of Sam Vaccarella, Sr. I was very sorry to hear of his death. I remember him as a kind and gentle person who always had a smile and pleasant words to say. He was also a person who displayed great faith. Unfortunately, I could not attend the viewing or funeral due to sickness. But I remembered Sam and his family in my prayers and will continue to do so.

My sympathy and prayers to the relatives and friends of Uncle
Sam. He was one of the best person I know. Always thoughtful and ready to assist anyone in need. Sorry I am not there with my cousins to mourn their father at this time.
I know he will be missed.
Nancy I never got the pleasure of knowing your father but if you are an example of his love and compassion, he was the best. You have been a dear friend to me in bad times and good. You have inspired me, made me laugh and helped me learn how to be strong. Oh lady, knowing you, you had a great inspiration in your dad and he was blessed to have you as a daughter. My prayers are with you and your family in this time. With much love and respect

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!
My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences!
