Salvatore F. Leonardo, III
On May 23, 2015 of Washington Twp. Age 55. Beloved husband of Maryellen (nee Font). Devoted father of Tim and Michael. Loving son of Salvatore F. and Helen (nee Raspa) Leonardo, Jr. Dear brother of Dr. Donna Leonardo (Pete Cunningham) and Louise Fourney (Frank). Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Sal loved his family, wife and sons with all his heart. The children always came first. He would do anything in the world for his sons, nieces and nephews. Sal loved his home that he built from scratch and was happy working around the house and in the garage. Sal enjoyed restoring mustangs and/or anything with a motor. He enjoyed spending many summers at the beach in Wildwood with his family and friends.
Sal will always be remembered by his amazing happy personality and generosity. He would give you the shirt off his back and do anything for you in time of need. He will be remembered by his dedication to his family, the love he shared with all the people he knew, and his energy for life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 8:45-10:45 AM at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM. Interment, All Saints Cemetery, Newfield.
Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com Arrangements are under the care of the Egizi Funeral Home, Washington Twp.

Haven't spoke to my cousin in quite a few years, but my best memory is having Christmas Eve at his parents, Uncle Sal and Aunt Helens, house. While Grandma Rose was cooking and remember Grandma Making Salvatore his favorite, her meatballs, cause he won't eat anybody else. As being the youngest cousin I loved to stay over and being proud to be related to him, he was always working on his car, and loved to watch and learn. I guess he was my inspiration, cause I know own and run a body shop in Western Wyoming with my husband. I always though we all live to grow to be old folks like our grandma. My heart is heavy with sorrow of you leaving us, but do understand how hard of a time with pain you were going thru. You will always be one of my favorite cousins. I met Sal in 10th grade Biology class. We were getting ready to dissect frogs and had to pick a partner to work with. I was not looking forward to that part of the class, so Sal stepped up and said I'll be your partner. And from that moment on he was my Hero. He was a wonderful guy and had a beautiful soul. My heart goes out to his entire family. And I know I am lucky to have met him and to have called him my friend. You will be missed dear friend.

I was one of Sal's many good friends during our younger years. Although I moved away after knowing Sal for a little over 20 years, starting around his senior year in HS, I cherish the time I knew Sal and his wonderful family. We did grow apart over my time away, but I'll never forget the good times we had. Sal was truly a great guy with many passions. My best memories of Sal were working on cars, building decks, fishing trips with my Pop, building his garage and house, being the best man at his wedding and so many more. Sal was like a brother to me and his parents treated me as such every time I was over there. It saddens me that Sal's earthly life has be cut short, but there is comfort in the good memories I have and knowing we will meet again. I send my condolences to Maryellen, Timothy, Michael, Sal Sr., Helen, Donna, Louise and all their families. I wish I could have been there to help during this tough time. I'll never forget you Sal.
