Salvatore A. Colucci

Salvatore A. Colucci, 78 of Glen Mills Pa, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025.  Born on July 24, 1947, in South Philadelphia to Armand and Mary (née Calvano) Colucci. He moved to Springfield and graduated from Springfield High School in 1965.  His hobbies were playing football for his school and playing in the school band with his saxophone.  He followed in his father’s footsteps learning the Upholstery business. He retired from the U.S Postal Service after 30 years.

Sal was a proud and passionate Philly and Eagles sports fan, and he loved talking about them. He loved music especially the oldies and hardly ever missed a concert at Rose Tree Park.  He was quite a character turning heads when he walked into a room with his combination of swag and Elvis inspired style. He was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed attending car shows. He was an animal lover and would rescue cats, some of which he would end up keeping giving them a great life. Most of all he loved his family.

He was the devoted father of John Dipietro (Deanna) and Lisa M. Colucci.  Loving grandfather of Dominic, Gianna (William) Alexander (Jaclyn) and Karlie (Brandon).  Proud great grandfather of Scottie. Survived by his former spouse Mary Lou Bevvino and his companion Nancy Ready.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Family and friends are welcome to attend his viewing Wednesday, September 24th 9:45 – 10:45 AM at Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield PA. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
