I've been blessed to have met a family that loves and enjoys life as the Hatala's... I've met them over 30 yrs ago and knew then what a great Son, Brother, Husband, Father and grandpop he would be.. Time had past since we last seen each other but when I seen them again it was great to see that love could stand the test of time... Tommy no words can be expressed <3... but know you have 3 beautiful Angels in heaven, family and friends here on earth to be here for you... even though you feel alone, pls know that you are not...ever.
R is for the Remarkable man he is... U is for his uniqueness... D is for his devotion to family... Y is for his young at heart attitude that brought joy to all us... Love to the Hatala's, he will be deeply missed....
We are heartbroken and devastated by the loss of Rudy. Our relationship was more like brothers than a friend or a business associate. We will never forget his wit, charm, and his laughter. The things we did together, the trips and the jobs were special, as was he. No man was ever more concerned about doing the right thing for his family and his Country than Rudy. We'll miss him until that next time we see him. Rest in peace my friend.
Rudy and I worked together. He was a good guy. I really enjoyed listening to his stories and his advice. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.
Terry, Rudy and Andrew,
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Rudy is truly a treasure that will be greatly missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Sue and Jim Antenucci
My condolences to Rudy's family. I worked with Rudy many years including some coincedental travel near and far. He was always someone I was glad to see either at a personal level or for his technical expertise. Such a great guy, my deepest sympathies.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Rudy was more than just a colleague, he was a true friend. Always ready with a smile and a hug every time I saw him. Always encouraging me and reminding me what was important in life - my family. He knew about living life the way it should be lived. Fair winds and following seas, until we see each other again my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Rudy’s family and friends.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to the Hatala family. I worked with Rudy and he was always upbeat person. I also played with Rudy on NAVSSES softball had great times. My wish is that the Family find comfort and peace as time goes on.
Regards

I am saddened to learn of Rudy's passing. I will miss a good man who had the courage of an explorer, was innovative, "curious, not judgmental" Walt Whitman. Rudy greeted people with a warm welcome, always cordial, always focused on solving real problems for sailors. My thouhts and prayers are with his family and friends.
My condolences to Rudy's family. I had the plerasure of working with Rudy for over 20 years. He always had a smile on his face and we shared many laughs together. Rudy was an all around great guy. I always looked forward to working with and talking to him. He will be missed by many.
It was with great sorrow and shock that we heard the news of Rudy’s death. Rudy was a wonderful person who was a very big part of our family for many years. He touched the lives of so many people and was a role model for many young men in this township including our own sons. We will always remember his huge smile and sense of humor, and his devotion and love for his family. Please accept our deepest sympathies. Our hearts and prayers go out to you, Rudy, Jr. and Andrew in your time of sorrow.
I had the pleasure of working with Rudy the past 25 years. We had many discussions and meetings that always had a few laughs. One thing that always stuck out was that Rudy was a very caring person and always spoke proudly of his Family.
Rudy was a big asset for the Fleet implementing new technologies to improve equipment.

I have known and worked with Rudy for 25 years or so. I always enjoyed working with him as he shared my passion for the US Navy and supporting the fleet. Fair winds and following seas, my friend.
We couldn't have known a better man. Many great memories from Bryant Rd. So glad we got to know him we are truly blessed.
Rudy contributed a huge amount of expertise to the Navy and he will be missed. In the years that I have known him, he stepped up to the plate for numerous challenges and was respected as the "go to" expert by many. Rudy helped me out when I needed him and this is sad to lose him.
My deepest sympathies to the Hatala family. Rudy selflessly served our Country through his work with the Navy. He will be missed by many colleagues around the world.
When I came to Philadelphia Rudy took me under his wing and looked out for me as if I was one of his own sons. He took me all over the world introducing me to colleagues of his and showing me how the Navy worked. He was an excellent mentor, and a great friend. Rudy - you will be missed.

This is not goodbye it is see you later.

To the Hatala Family,
I am genuinely sorry for your loss. May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
RUDY CAME TO WORK AT NAVSSES AS A DREXEL ENGINEERING STUDENT, AND STAYED WUTH US HIS ENTIRE CAREER. THE FIRE AND AMBITION HE SHOWED AT THE ONSET NEVER DIMINISHED. HE HAD A HIGH SENSE OF DUTY TO THE NAVY AND COULD RUN THE BASES IN OUR SOFTBALL GAMES AS FAST AS THE SWIFTEST I HAVE SEEN. HIS DAD AND BROTHER WOULD COME TO SEE HIM AT OUR GAMES,WHICH SHOWED THE DEDICATION OF FAMILY IN THE HATALA'S. I SAW RUDY ABOUT A MONTH AGO IN THE HOME DEPOT, AND I HADNT SEEN HIM IN QUITE A WHILE. WELL HE GAVE ME A BEAR HUG FROM BEHIND THAT NOT ONLY STARTLED ME, BUT ALARMED THE PEOPLE AROUND US. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO ALL THE HATALA'S. YOU WERE FORTUNATE TO HAVE HIM FOR THE TIME YOU DID, SO SHORT AS IT WAS. BLESS ALL DAN PAOLUCCI,DEPTFORD NJ
