Jerry Riordan left a message on January 7, 2010:
Dear Linda, David and Philip, Events like these bring the rush of memories. As fond as those memories are, the loss is still difficult to accept. To me, my very good high school friend Roy, always had an impressive focus from his love and affection for you to his assumption of "Commissioner duties" well after your boys were done with youth sports. I was not surprised to read that he became a "Big Fan" of Temple University Basketball. His life on earth here ended too early and too abruptly, but it was a full life nevertheless, and he was blessed to have a very good and loving partner to share in it with him. My thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Jerry Riordan
