Steve Gerace left a message on August 9, 2021:
Dear Elaine, Colleen and Family, I am heartbroken with Ron’s death. We were friends for 50 years. Especially senior year when he worked in security at Lit Brothers and we used to bowl together on Sunday nights. It was great that we doubled to the senior prom together. How many guys went to the prom in a Cadillac? When he worked at Tom Miglio’s gas station on Passyunk Ave., I used to hang out with to keep him company. Always a friendly guy, we never had an argument. As the years went by, we each got busy with our lives and spent less time with each other. That happens. However, when I got married in 1992 and needed limousines for the wedding party, I thought of him and just as I expected him to perform, he did a great job. That’s what a great friend does. In the last few years, as his health problems began to overtake his life, we did spend more time with each other. Unfortunately, in was in a hospital or the rehab centers I also called him often, usually on a Sunday night just to see what he was up to and to try to lift his spirits. In fact, when I had my heart attack on Sept 6, 2021, he was the first one I called. He gave me great advice and we laughed that now we were in the same club. He was too nice a guy to pass this young and I will miss him terribly. I think that the best thing you could say about Ron is that if a person’s worth is measured by the amount of friends he had, that Ron was a very rich man. We are all better people having been his friend. May he rest in peace.

This is a true loss as I suffer from the same health issues as Ron ..... We would call each other from time to time but, we had not spoken in a year. I recall when he was a Limo driver and he was driving us to NYC and he hit some on she was standing and laughed about it..... Ron was a kind man and if you knew him was a friend you were blessed. May he rest in peace as he suffered so much, God Bless you Ron.... Our love ,Sylvia and John
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I knew Ronnie my entire life as a cousin and as a friend. From our playing in the lumber yard, to his aspirations of wanting to be a priest, to his assisting the sisters, to his love of dogs, to his limousine adventures Ronnie remained truly consistent. Whether you knew him as a cousin, as a brother, as Reds, or just Ronnie he was exactly the same person to all of us. He was a trusted friend. You knew it and felt every time you were near him. He was a man with a true heart of gold, kind and generous, and always with a smile. He will be missed. He is loved. And he will always be with us.

I remember Ronnie as a baby, my little cousin so sweet and wonderful to hold and play with. It is so sad that he has had so many medical ordeals. It is overwhelming for the family he leaves behind but there is solace in that he is in a place of peace and wholeness. With love and prayers, Kayta (Kathy) and family, Larry, Zofia (Matt), Johnathan, Larissa and Aliana

Condolences to the DeJulius family. Ron was a great guy and everyone who knew him felt the same way. Always concerned about how you were doing even with all the medical issues he had. My family lived around the corner from him growing up in Girard Estate. It has been a wonderful thing knowing Ron all these years. He will be greatly missed.
