Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Josephine Buondonno. Loved by many nieces and nephews.
Robert (aka “Bob the Barber”) was born in Camden, NJ where he began his extensive career as a Barber mastering his trade at a young age of 12.
Bob owned and operated many shops within the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas until his “retirement” at the young age of 89. Bob also worked in the press room at the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Courier Post throughout the years. His strong work ethic and his dedication to his trade was something he passed down to his children. As he always told them, “If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.” And he loved what he did. Bob loved the big bands, was a fabulous dancer, his favorite was the jitterbug with his wife, playing his saxophone and watching his favorite old time movies. As a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 283 in Philadelphia and prior Grand Knight, prayer was a part of his daily routine as his faith and devotion to God gave him comfort.
Bob loved and was proud of his grandchildren and all their accomplishments.
His memory will live on through the hearts of his family and all who knew him. He was one of a kind and will never be forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, July 30th at 10:30 am – 12:00 Noon at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stagecoach Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial at 12:15 PM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
