Robert Paul Gibson (72) of Washington Township, NJ passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025. Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Born on December 19, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA, Robert was the youngest of four boys; a brother to William, Ronald and James. As a young boy, he and his brothers enjoyed creating lasting memories with family and friends. After moving out of the city, Robert attended Washington Township schools where he set athletic records and developed life long friendships. Robert attended Glassboro State College, where he met his lovely wife of 48 years, Marianne. Robert and Marianne went on to have two beautiful daughters, Elizabeth and Lindsey. Robert worked a successful and rewarding career in banking until retiring to become a full time “Pop”. Robert enjoyed gardening, vacationing with his family, and cheering on his local Philadelphia sports teams. He spent his days tending to his garden, playing Mr. Fix-it, and plotting his next prank on his family. However, it goes without saying his favorite time was spent with his two grandchildren, Olivia and Henry.
Robert will be remembered for his devotion and love to his family, his generous and charitable spirit, calm, logical demeanor and quick witted sense of humor. Go Birds!
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Special Olympics of New Jersey.
