Robert E. Cox

On January 18, 2017 of Washington Twp. Age 67. Beloved husband of Donna (nee McNair). Devoted father of Robert Cox, Kevin Cox (Victoria) and the late Donna Meade (nee Cox). Loving grandfather of Adrianna, Gabriella, Savannah, Lily, Aaron and Colin. Dear brother of Joy Sherrick.

Robert was born on October 15, 1949 to George and Joy Cox. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon discharge, Robert met the love of his life and future wife, Donna Cox (nee McNair). He pursued a career as a steamfitter for the Local Union 420 out of Philadelphia for 40+ years, and retired in 2008. Robert had a passion for muscle cars. Whether working on or racing, he was always around them. He also loved his summers at his trailer at the Jersey shore.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 1:30-3:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 3:00 PM. Interment will private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.

There is so much to say about Bob Cox. He and Donna, Bob, Kevin and little Donna were a big part of our lives. This family is a part of our family, and Bob ALWAYS could make us laugh. We were/are honored to be a part of this incredible family. Bob always had a story to tell...and later Donna would straighten him out. We will miss his wonderful stories, and especially his wit, friendliness, and heartfelt friendship. He was loyal. We have been friends for many years, and we, Bill and I, can not, and will not go to WaWa without thinking of him. To Donna, Bob, and Kevin, we will always keep Bob in our hearts. We are so thankful that we were able to tell Bob how much we loved him, before he passed, and we both love you all. Bill and I have lost a great friend. He was a great man, a great Dad, a great husband, and we will forever have a hole in our hearts. May all the memories that you hold dear to your heart, carry you through this sad, sad time. Bill and I have our own wonderful memories, and history. Bob Cox is already sorely missed. Love you all, Bill and Marilyn
