Robert C. Bittle, Sr., on March 5, 2021 of Sicklerville. Age 69. Beloved husband of Marianne (nee Kendrick). Devoted father of Robert Bittle, Jr., and Harry Bittle. Dear brother of Clifton Bittle, Jr., and Karen Canfield. Loved by nieces and nephews. Rob is also survived by his beloved dog, Betsy.
Rob was one of the most loving and loyal individuals that anyone could ever meet. He had a humble demeanor and his family was his life. Rob loved working with his hands; crafting, building, constructing, and producing all of his work directly from the heart and soul. He was a gifted and multi talented man that could create, fix or renovate anything. Because he was so detail oriented, he would never want to hire someone to do a job that he could do himself.
His love and tenderness was resonant with every action and activity that he involved himself in. Rob was not defined by his job even though he only ever worked for one company. He loved and pursued many hobbies. His love for trains and model railroading brought him great satisfaction and fulfillment, as well as to others. Rob built large format model train platforms by hand. He created fully functioning realistic scaled railroad scenes and even went to the full extent of completely restoring antique model trains back to their original aesthetic and fully functioning order. Attention to detail is where his soul embedded itself.
Rob was a gardener, a would be farmer and a beekeeper. He was able to grow many beautiful fruits & vegetables, as well as extract honey from his bees for his family and friends to enjoy. Every summer he and his wife picked blueberries and no family gathering was complete without one of his famous pies. His involvement and understanding of car mechanics was stellar on every level and as a younger man he restored antique cars. His canary yellow 1939 Ford pick up truck was his pride and joy. We will cherish and remember his ideas, perspective, rigor, integrity, livelihood, and love and honor his memory.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday, March 12th, 9:00-10:30 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral service 10:30 AM.
