On February 5, 2017 of Washington Twp. Age 81. Beloved husband of Joan M. (nee Scarduzio). Devoted father of Annette Price (Steven), Keith (Joann) and the late Anthony Primavera. Loving grandfather of Fallon and Taylor. Dear brother of the late John Primavera and Sandra Bronzin.
Richard was born January 9, 1936 to John and Rose Primavera.
He was a Painter New York Shipyard, Campbell Soup, Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, also had his own business painting houses.
It was love at first site engaged to Joan M. Scarduzio after only six months and married exactly one year after their first date. They had three children together, the first born exactly one year after their Marriage. Joan and Richard enjoy 55 beautiful and loving years together.
He loved first and foremost his family both immediate and extended family members Primavera, Bronzin and Scarduzio’s. He always wanted to go visit someone. He was very social and would talk to anybody that was around. He was a fabulous dancer and loved music. He also loved a great action movie. He and mommy went out every single Friday night in their earlier years and earlier retirement years. We always had cat and dogs growing up and in his later years they had birds. He talked to them and took care of them like they were his children. He loved his automobiles!!! His Blue Cadillac with Gold trim was his pride and joy!! His hobbies mainly revolved around his family. His favorite sport was basketball. He loved to play the game and watch the Philadelphia Sixers with his son on television. He loved watching his daughter play softball and son play baseball and always took time out to help us practice. He loved listening to his daughter play the piano and often asked her to play him a song. He enjoyed horseshoes on the beach with Keith, Steven, Fran, Tom, and Raymond, checkers and cards with his Granddaughters, Fallon and Taylor, Games with his Daughter-in-law Joann, and absolutely loved watching Taylor dance.
Our Husband/father was the strongest man we knew. He was a hardworking man who took the best care of his wife, children and grandchildren. He often showed a tough exterior but we all knew under all that was the most gentle, tender, loving, compassionate man in the world. He will be deeply missed by his family. “ At the end of life, what really matters is not what we bought but what we built; not what we got but what we shared; not our competence but our character; and not our success, but our significance. Live a life that matters. Live a life of love.” Author unknown
