On May 9, 2026, of Sicklerville. Age 62. Beloved husband of Donna M. (nee Dixon). Devoted father of Richard A. (Catherine), John (Lianabel), Brian and Mathew. Dear brother of Francis Galdo, John Galdo, Michael Galdo, Alice Herman and the late Terry Galdo. Loving grandfather of Cayla, Giovanni, and Gemma.
My Dad was one of 6 kids, and he was the baby of the family. We Grew up in Fishtown where he became a professional Boxer out of Front Street Gym in Philadelphia, They Called him The Red Rooster, he fought championship tournaments in Ireland and made it on a few HBO boxing cards. To many of us, growing up, he was our real life Rocky. Tip-Top playground was his hangout with his friends, and after Boxing he Joined the Carpenters Union of Philadelphia, where he was a Carpenter Foreman and made so many great friends that he considered family that loved him just as much as he loved them. He retired after over 30 yrs of service. He was the favorite Uncle to many nieces and nephews, always the life of the party and you could not be around him without laughing. As a father he was our hero growing up. He was at every single soccer game, baseball practice, basketball game and even helped coach the GT Lions football team when one of us made the team. He tried to give us the best life possible when he moved us to Jersey and with his bare hands turned our house into a palace and our yard into a resort. And last but not least he was a Beloved grandfather, his grandkids loved him, they called him Pop and he was there for them throughout It all. You couldn’t find a soul that didn’t like my dad if you searched the entire Earth.
