Stephen Schlemback left a message on August 9, 2019:
I am so sad to learn of Rich’s passing. Bonnie, Rich and I were on the same EMS crew for many years. I will always remember his great sense of humor, his infectious laugh, but most importantly he was a great man. I will forever treasure the late nights at Denny’s after our ambulance runs. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Fowler family. The world is a little less bright today, with Rich being gone. Rest In Peace.
Frank & Michelle (Nyzio) Gurcsik left a message on August 9, 2019:
As young volunteer EMTs, so many of us witnessed the most fervent group of volunteers ever known... never to be duplicated. Rich & Bonnie Fowler were the "Dynamic Duo." At meetings, (Captain) Rich would quietly & confidently push forward... making a penny scream because it simply had to be done. Bonnie Fowler was a lion, always "protecting her cubs." (Our local residents' / EMTs only mission was to serve our community with prompt, professional & skilled care.) Rich later moved fully into his role as "gate keeper" to our donations. The annual sticker drive & weekly Bridgeport Speedway coverage allowed (only because of Rich Fowler's financial genious) "Squad 10-9" to fiscally run. Rich NEVER had a complaint about anything... a real leader to always be emulated. God Speed, Captain Fowler.
Merle Kaplan Margolese left a message on August 9, 2019:
Dear Bonnie, I dont know if you remember me, I ran on the squad back in the late 80's. You and Rich were so great in helping to train me. I have many fond memories of you both. My deepest condolences, I was so sorry and stunned to hear of Rich's passing. I live in S. Carolina so am unable to attend the funeral but am sending my prayers to you and your family.
Dominick Mazzitelli left a message on August 8, 2019:
It is with my deepest sadness that we say goodbye to Rich. I've known him for over 40 years and I am very fortunate to be able to call him my friend. We shared many interests including the Ambulance Squad as one of our biggest. We also shared the love of woodworking and discussed projects and techniques often. He and I also shared a love of our churches and of course the love of God. May our Lord Father reach out to him and prepare a room in his house for him. It is written in 1 Corinthians 15:22 - For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. God Bless Richard and his family.

So sorry Bonnie and family on Rich's passing. But be comforted knowing he is in God's loving arms now. I will miss him so. He was a strong, caring man. I will miss his quiet but sarcastic humor! Much love and prayers to you all.
Linda Basile left a message on August 8, 2019:
My deepest sympathy to Bonnie, and the entire family. Rich was a good man, in his years of service to the squad and in his kindness to those that knew him. He was a true gentleman and will be missed. God broke the mold when he made Rich and now he has taken the original back. I am so sorry.
