Richard A. Fowler, on August 7, 2019, of Washington Twp. Age 77. Beloved husband of Bonnie J. (nee Robinson). Devoted father of Lisa M. Brydges (James), Cyndi J. Brodnyan (Charles), Todd A. Fowler (Lisa). Loving grandfather of Ryan, Jessica, Samantha, Jason, and Jenna.
Rich was a kind, gentle man with a contagious smile who touched so many lives with his caring attitude and loving ways. He was always willing to lend a hand, or an ear, to someone in need. Rich was known for his quiet sense of humor and selfless demeanor. He was devoted to God and his family and loved each immeasurably. Rich spent much of his life dedicated to the Washington Township Ambulance and Rescue Association where he volunteered and held many positions, including Captain. Rich recently retired from his position as Finance Director for the squad. He also served in positions at Cross Keys United Methodist Church where he attended church regularly with his wife, Bonnie – his high school sweetheart. In his spare time, Rich loved woodworking. He would craft anything from small crosses to large pieces of custom furniture. He also enjoyed working outdoors whether it be mowing the lawn or growing tomatoes in his garden. He loved his dog Lucy and three pet cats; in fact, you could often catch him sharing his Cheerios with one of them! Rich will be missed terribly but there is solace in the fact that he may be absent from his body, but he is present with the Lord.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 9:00 – 11:00 am at Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 11:00 am. Interment Cross Keys United Methodist Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to The Washington Twp. Ambulance & Rescue Assn., PO Box 1044, Turnersville, NJ 08012.
