I was stationed with Master Chief when he was a Senior Chief at the Philadelphia Naval base and I would see him on occasions at the Glassboro Post Office always with a smile on his face.He will be truly missed. As they say in the Navy may he have fair winds and following seas. My condolences goes out to the family.

Reading through Mr. Balatbat's life story makes me honored to have known him and his wonderful family. I have very fond memories of his quiet and gentle manner, always kind and inviting when I visited with Lisa. The highlight of visits were his amazing food - the best pancit and chicken adobo ever! Peace be with the Balatbat family knowing that their husband, father, and grandfather was loved and respected by all, leaving behind his greatest legacy - a wonderful family.

"Mr Rey" was a beloved neighbor and will be truly missed by all of the kids who grew up running through his amazing gardens and bridges. Even after making lots of noise for Gloria and him, they usually came home with a bag of fresh vegetables! Rey was a gentle soul who set a shining example of how to befriend all of us. God Bless you and your family. With deepest sympathy, Lisa, Joe, Joey, and Ariel Cangemi
