Raymond John Bozzuffi

On December 5, 2021 of Washington Twp. Age 71. Beloved husband of Leslie (nee Magazu). Devoted father of Mark McDonnell, Amy Garcia (David), Louis Cobb (Marguerite), Mark Edwards (Nicky), Ashley Diaz (William), and the late Stevie Edwards. Loving grandfather of Julien, Alena, Lilliana, Mason, Evan, Jesse, Logan, Aiden, Madison, and Charlotte. Dear brother of Donald Bozzuffi (Crystal) and Jack Bozzuffi. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and extended family members.

RJ “Zuff” Bozzuffi – Zuff was a founding member of Skippy’s Toy, a local cover band that plays all over the Philadelphia area. He started as the drummer for Skippy’s Toy but when he became ill he stepped down to play the guitar and sing lead and harmonic vocals. He was also in The Pure Petty band where he did back up vocals, guitar, harmonica, ukulele, percussion and mandolin. Zuff has been the drummer for various rock bands, including $MONEY$, BIG EYES, CAGNEY, ALIUS, The UOM Band and CRY WOLF. He also was part of the Rod and Zuff acoustic duo, and the Joyful Heart Christian Rock Band. The “drum doctor” was one of the first rock drum teachers in the tri-state area, and taught for 20 years. Zuff has extensive recording experience including national commercials. He has been playing guitar as long as drums. His solo music and originals can be heard on his You Tube page. Though Zuff had many jobs throughout his life (Innovative Pharmacy, Eastern Lift, Public Storage and Wal-Mart) Music was the one constant job that he loved and will always be remembered for.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Tuesday, December 21^st5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral service 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond’s memory may be made to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, 419 Cooper Rd., Voorhees, NJ 08043.

Leslie I always remember the joy that Zuff's music made me feel. The kindness that you both gave me. Due to my own health problems, I am unable to be there to tell you how truly sorry I am for your loss. I hope to see you soon so I can give you a great big hug.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Zuff's passing. Even though we hadn't kept in touch over the years, I still thought of him often. I greatly admired him. He was a true gentleman, a brilliant musician, a good friend and great bandmate. His loss will be felt by many. Please accept my condolences.

Sending my sincerest condolences to Zuff's wife, family, friends and bandmates. Please believe he is at rest with our Lord and performing with all the other great rock stars we've lost over time. Can you just imagine THAT incredible band? Zuff was a true master of his musical abilities as well as many other traits. I'm very sorry I hadn't seen him in many years. May he be at rest, peaceful and pain free in the arms of the Angels. RIP Zuff.

I remember Ray fondly for his sense of humor , his brillant musical skills and his swagger. Although we havent seen each orher in years , he will be missed, and remembered.

Zuff was a great friend, a music mentor and a brother. I will always miss you, I will never forget you. Rest in peace my friend, till we meet again.

RiP Zuff (Ray) never forgotten always loved????

I have known Ray since the early 70s. Art and l used to go to trios and watch him play. We meant Leslie their. My heart goes out to her. They were so good together RIP Ray. He fought a hard fight.

My deepest condolences to the Bozzuffi family for the loss of a wonderful Guy.

I worked closely with Ray at Eastern Lift Truck, and he was a great guy. I was very sorry to hear of his passing.

I’m so sorry we lost you. I loved you like a son. I will miss you so much.

I first saw him in a band called Gatsby .. I was impressed by his playing and showmanship. Thats when I signed up for drum lessons from him , he also got me into taking Karate .. GOD BE WITH YOU ZUFF.

I am one of many. Zuff played and entertained so many people. We first crossed paths in 1968 ..we jammed at the bowman house!! (You had to be there) ...Joined again 2015 when he helped finish recording tracks (on his drums) to finish my cd. He was a bright light and a good friend. God bless all of you that loved him and miss him..

Zuff has selflessly served at St. John Chrysostom Church for several years and made possible the prayerful and uplifting music that our "Joyful Heart Band" has ministered every month rain, snow or shine. Zuff used his God given talents to inspire, motivate and encourage all that had the blessing of being in his presence. I am a better person because I knew Zuff, I was his friend, I sang and prayed with him and watched him courageously face his illness. Eternal peace dear friend and God's comfort to all those you love especially Leslie and your beautiful Family.

Zuff will be truely missed by so many. As a teenager I followed Money everywhere they played. It was the best show in the state. Zuff playing the drums and always doing those finger rolls is always a vision in my memories. Im glad in the past few years we became friends. One of the best talented entertainer he was right up to the end. Rest in peace Zuff ✌ your the man.
