Dear family of Randel, Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Randy. Though I did not have the chance to know him personally, I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss, he is the same age as I am. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Who am I? My grandmother from Salmbach, Germany and Randy's grandma were sisters, I have a vague memory of her when she visited Germany around 15-20 years after the WW2. I have rather good memories of a visit of his mother Herta and sister Anita at the time when I was kind of tenish, I did't speak proper English at the time, so my older neighbor helped out when we played together. Herta drove a green beetle with an oval license plate, which was kind of unique at the time, I believe it was issued by customs for whatever reason in the 60's in Germany. I remember Randy' s name being mentioned often during that time. I thought I'd share these thoughts with you. With deepest sympathy, Jürgen Rexer, Holzmaden, Germany
