Rachel A. Ayo (nee Bixler), on October 9, 2020, of Washington Twp. Age 48. Beloved wife of Richard. Devoted mother of Vivian Ayo (Christopher Rainey). Cherished daughter of Arthur “Dan” and Virginia Bixler. Dear sister of Rebecca Froelich (Wayne), Esther Piszczek (Paul), Arthur “Dan” Bixler (Karen) and Michael Bixler. She is also survived by many loving friends and family members.
Rachel graduated from Northern Lehigh High School in Slatington, Pennsylvania and The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management. She met her devoted husband Richard while working at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Her daughter Vivian was her pride and joy. After leaving the Sands, Rachel worked for many years in Human Resource Management for several hospital systems. She treated everyone with fairness and compassion. She loved cruises, fancy cocktails, barbecue, and making jam. She was beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, creative, adventurous, loving, gracious, fun, and kind. She is missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to visit with the family Saturday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp.
