Phyllis A. Webb (nee Marrotta) on January 23, 2023, of Waretown, NJ (formerly Long Branch). Age 81.
Beloved wife of the late Robert E. Webb; devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Marrotta; daughter-in-law of the late Clare Webb, loving sister of Josephine Cerrato, Patricia and Vince Chiaro; aunt of Roxanne, Theresa (Bill), Michael (Debbie), Vincent (Taylor) and Lauren; great-aunt of Samantha, Joseph, Jacob, Patrick, Kierstin and Zachary.
Phyllis was endlessly generous with her love and time. She was a constant source of joy to her family and friends.
Retired in 2002, Phyllis enjoyed a successful 40-year career working for the federal government. During that time, she also owned several businesses with her husband Bob.
Phyllis’ positive attitude was contagious. No matter the obstacle, Phyllis exuded a positivity that could felt by anyone in her presence.
She was adventurous and bold. Her young spirit never wavered, she had a passion for life and was always ready for a new journey. She never passed up a ride in the boat or a late-night ice cream run. Phyllis’s spirit was truly indescribable, and she had the best smile (genuine and beautiful) that radiated happiness; you couldn’t help but smile back.
Most importantly, Phyllis left us knowing how much we were loved and that we were the most important part of her life. We loved her back – it was so easy! We lost our sunshine; she will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Family and friends are invited to visit with the family at 10:00 11:00 am on Thursday, February 2nd, at St. Mary’s Parish 747 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ 08005. Mass of Christian Burial will start at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis’ memory may be made to the American Lung Association or the Wounded Warrior Project
A Letter From Heaven
When tomorrow starts without me,
and I’m not here to see.
If the sun should rise and find your eyes,
filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry,
the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
we didn’t get to DO.
I know how much you love me,
as much as i love you.
And each time you’ll think of me,
I know you’ll miss me to.
When tomorrow starts without me,
don’t think we’re apart,
for every time you think of me,
I’m right there in your heart
