On January 20, 2020, of Pitman, formerly of Madeira Beach, Florida. Age 90. Beloved husband of the late Pamela. Devoted father to William (Theresa) and the late James P. and Philip, Jr. Loving grandfather of William, David (Kelly Ann) and Jessica. Proud great grandfather of James.
Philip was born on June 12, 1929 in Pittsburg, PA to the late William and Mary Flaherty. He was a proud Navy veteran of 23 years serving during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During WWII, Philip enlisted in the Marine Corps, underage, and received the WWII Victory Medal. Philip was a life member and past Commander of American Legion Post 7 in Clearwater, FL, VFW Post 1616 in Williamstown, NJ, Fleet Reserve Assoc. 109, DAV #11 and American Assoc. of Navy Hospital Corpsman.
Philip’s life will be honored and remembered privately by his family. Inurnment at Bay Pines Veterans Cemetery, St. Petersburg, Florida.
