Paula J. Cauley
(nee Nolan) On December 22, 2022 of Washington Twp. Age 86. Beloved wife of Bud. Devoted mother of Kevin Cauley (Antonia), Mary Francis Mundrane (Richard), David Cauley (Cheryl), and Megan VanZoeren (Terry). Loving grandmother of Anthony, Christopher, Matthew, Richard, Kaeley, Caitlin, Christina, and Natalie. Proud great-grandmother of Luke, Martha, and Ledger. Dear sister of Frances Crowe, Peter Nolan (Sally), and the late James Nolan, Jr.
Paula was Born in Holyoke, February 25, 1936. She graduated from Holyoke High School in 1953. She went to Westfield State Teacher College, getting a Bachelor Degree in Teaching in 1957. Paula was proud to be a 1st grade teacher in Washington Twp.
She was Recognized by Senator John Matheussen for her Outstanding 28-year tenure of service at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, and Teacher of the Year. She was also a member of the New Jersey Education Association (NYEA)
Paula enjoyed the Jersey shore beach, traveling, reading, gathering with family, Eagles football on Sunday.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the Church of The Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paula’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
