My dear friend Pat, My heart goes out to your precious Vivian for this tragic loss. It was very evident to all who knew you that she was the love of your life and you were hers as well. May time and loving memories help heal her broken heart. ❤️ Rest assured that you will be forever remembered as a good, hard-working, generous, honest man. The world could use more men like you. You were not just a co-worker to me for nearly 20 years, but a true friend as well. I will forever remember your kind deeds at work such as bringing in balogna (I think ?) sandwiches for one of the residents, understanding that these simple gestures meant the world to those living on a vent unit. The residents and family members all loved you and asked for you. I can still see you sitting in your chair (after rounds were done) perched at the corner of all three hallways so you could keep an eye and ear out for all alarms. You cared for everyone, not just your own team, never leaving the unit to take a break for fear something should happen while away. Even though you didn’t really like being a preceptor, you took the new grads under your wing as their “work dad”. Well Pat, you must have raised them well!!......they’re, one by one, leaving the nest with the necessary confidence to build on their careers......because of you! ❤️ I remember how supportive you were to me when I left Meadowview and how you made me feel appreciated, missed and valued. That meant so much to me and I hope I conveyed that to you. I was recently talking to Milissa about doing another dinner date with you and Vivian and feel so sad that we won’t have the chance to do it again, but fortunately I have such fond memories from our last time. So many people come and go throughout a lifetime, but you were very special. Rest easy, my friend.

Uncle Pat stepped in to be a groomsman when my brother could not at the last minute. He was my godfather. I’ll always remember Uncke Pat with a smile on his face. He and I were not incredibly close, he was a man of few words but whenever I needed him (and I mean whenever) the man was there for me, without hesitation offering me whatever it was that I needed. His love was unconditional and true. I love you Aunt Vivian and my heart goes out to you. No doubt he is reunited with my mom, mom mom and yes even pop/pop(that is if the ladies are letting him tag along) I’ll miss his smile and hope he knows I love him.
