Oyeyemi Olabioye Fasehun-Adebowale, age 57, passed away in Jefferson Memorial Hospital on April 28th, 2021, surrounded by her Husband and Children. Oyeyemi was born in Lagos, Nigeria on March 28th, 1964 to Theodora Kehinde Lewis and Olabanji Victor Fasehun.
She began her education at Reagan Memorial Baptist School Primary School Yoba, Lagos, Nigeria, continuing to secondary school St. Catherine’s Anglican School. After completing her secondary school Oyeyemi went on to further her education at Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing and Midwifery in Lantoro, Abeokuta, Nigeria an Ijebu’Ode School of General Nursing where she would obtain her Bachelor of Nursing.
Oyeyemi met her life-long partner and husband, for 31 years- Olufemi Adebowale, as a young child with whom she had four children. Oyeyemi was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years and as such worked in a plethora of leadership position over the years. This included but was not limited to Vice President of Nursing at United Presbyterian Residence, Regional Director of Nursing Hospicom Health Network, Director of Nursing at Majestic Center for Rehabilitation and Sub-acute Care, Aspen Hills Care Center. Yemi, enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, as well as cooking.
Oyeyemi was also a proud member of (the New Jersey State Nurses Association, New Jersey Director of Nursing Association). Oyeyemi is survived by Husband Olufemi Adebowale, Son -Adeoluwa Adebowale, Daughters -Adetoun, Gloria (Tiawo) and Deborah. (Kehinde) Adebowale, Sisters- Jumoke’ Fasehun, Sarah, Tiawo, Kehinde Lewis Brothers- Oladipo Fasehun, Samuel and Femi Lewis and was predeceased by (Olawole Fasehun and Raphael Lewis)
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday 8:00 – 10:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 10:00 AM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp.
