On March 23, 2018 of Lewis, DE., formerly of Philadelphia. Age 80. Beloved husband of the late Diane (nee Shaw). Devoted father of Chris McKendry (Cathie), and Darren McKendry (Yumi). Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Oliver was born July 10, 1937 to Frederick and Edna McKendry of Philadelphia, Pa. He was the eighth child of 9, Frederick, John, George, Irene, Edna, William, Francis, Oliver, Edward. They lived on Luray street in the Feltonville section of Philly. He attended Olney High school and then started working on cars at his brother-in law ‘s at Kreibick’s Auto repair and sales.
He also worked for Strick Trailers and a Cadillac dealer. He and a partner started their own auto body shop up on Philmont Ave. “Philmont Auto body “in the late 60’s .
From 1970 he moved the shop to Feltonville and became the sole owner of Philmont Auto Body. During this time lived in Feltonville up until 1992 at which time they moved to Lewes Delaware.

Oliver’s life will honored and remembered privately by his family.
