dearest ellis family, you all have always made me a part of your family. i felt safe, comfortable, loved, and most important for someone incredibly shy: i felt accepted to be me.
i have forever memories of sitting in your living and dining room with your mom and dad, playing games, and laughing at razor sharp humor. anyone here remember potato fingers / chicken fingers!?
what i'm trying to write is i love you all and am grateful to be the adopted son of your mom and dad.

I have had the privilege of knowing your mom/grandmom for the past few years. I looked forward to going to see her and Jeffrey on Sundays, to pray and serve the Holy Eucharist with them. During those times, Nancy shared so many beautiful stories of her family. She was such a loving, caring person whom I will miss dearly.
