Nancy J. Small

(nee Ortega) On March 3, 2026, of Washington Twp. Age 81. Beloved wife of Clifford. Devoted mother of Roxanne Geiser (Richard), Clifford Small (Caroline Harrover), and Robert Small. Loving grandmother of Camryn, Jaycen, Abigail, Clifford, Robert, Sierra, and Brandon. Dear sister of the late Joseph Ortega.

Nancy worked at Whitman School for 20 years. Prior to her job there, she was the president of the PTA and generated significant revenue for multiple fundraising initiatives. After retirement from the school, Nancy continued to work with children at St. John’s Christian Nursery School for many years.

In her spare time, she lovingly performed alterations on all types of clothing including wedding gowns to help friends and family prepare for their special day.

Nancy’s life will be honored and remembered privately by her family.

A more sweet, caring and generous lady never existed. She always greeted you with a smile and a warm welcome. Our prayers are with Cliff, her children and grandchildren. Nancy's presence will be deeply missed. But, we are asured we will meet again one day.

As a parent of 2 children who attended Whitman School it was always a pleasure to speak with Mrs. Small. A very special lady with a big heart. I will keep her family in my prayers. The Caldwell Family

So sorry to hear Nancy passed away. Nancy and Cliff were neighbors on White Birch Road and then I worked at Whitman School with her. Super nice lady and we’re friends for many years. In Florida for winter. My sympathy goes out to her family.

I want to extend my condolences to the Small family. I attended church with Ms. Nancy, and I got to know her well through my mother. Often, I went to her for alterations. The most special moment was when she agreed to alter my wedding dress. We would spend those times catching up on each other’s lives. I will miss her greatly, but at peace with the hope of Heaven.
