On February 17, 2012 of Gibbstown. Age 55. Beloved husband of 30 years to Kathleen M. nee Carabine. Devoted father of Amanda L. Lampkin Richard, Samantha M. and Zachary M. Loving Pop-pop of Trent and Chase. Dear brother of Susan M. Ryan, David R. and Robert T. Greenwald.

+Michael was a graduate of Washington Twp High School, class of 1975. He was a hard and dedicated worker for over 15 years for U.S. Foods. Michael was a Paulsboro Wrestling Association Trustee, Past President of Paulsboro’s Raider Nation, and a lifelong member of the Teamsters. He proudly served his Country in the Marines, but what meant most to Michael was his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday eve. 6:00-9:00 pm and Tuesday 8:30-9:30 am at the Gloucester County Community Church 359 Chapel Heights Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 10:00 am. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Lumberton.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael’s memory to the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter 32 Norristown, Road, Suite 260 Ambler, PA 19002. Arrangements under the care of the Egizi Funeral Home of Washington Twp.

Dear Kathy,Amanda,Samantha and Zack, We are so sorry to hear about your loss of Mike. I have so many wonderful memories of him from WT football. Always laughing,always making the situation more fun. The Greenwald family has been apart of my family for as long as I can remember. I feel truly honored, blessed, and proud to have had such a strong and endearing man in my life that I can call my Uncle. My love is extended to the entire Greenwald family! <3

Dear Uncle Mike, it's still so surreal that you aren't here anymore. To think that the strongest, most life-filled, man that I've ever come to know has gone on, is so hard to wrap my head around. You were a courageous, commendable person, that EVERYONE can look up to. Before the ALS, your contagious laugh was one that could put a smile on the saddest face in the room. Your powerful sense of humor that you held up until the very last day was one that I wish I was able to have and hold forever. Dear Kathy and kids,truly I don't even know were to begin to tell you all how very sorry and sad i am for you all.Your husband,and Dad meant more to me that any words could ever tell you.After knowing him and and loving him for 40yrs. I can't even think of what a day would ever be like without him in it.As kids,he may not have always had the happiest life,but after he met and feel in love with your Mom he always said his dream had come true to make a life he had always dream of! Greenwald family - I am truly sorry for your loss. I have not seen Mike since High School, and only recently became aware of Mike's plight through Jim Doyle, but recall Mike as a big man who always stuck up for the underdogs...from the other notes of remembrance posted here, it's obvious Mike made being a good man a life-long journey. Michael, we graduated High School together and had fun. Grew up and had families, but now you are with God and not in pain anymore. You are on a new adventure. May God protect your family from harm and my the angels from heaven spread their wings to watch over them and guide them as your journey begins into a new life.

Mike will be truly missed. We will always carry fond memories of good times with Mike, Kathy, Amanda and the days of old in Whitman Square. God loves you all and will take care of Mike in his new adventure. Love to all. RIP
