Michael E. Cowne

On June 26, 2023 of Erial. Age 74. Beloved husband of Lisa (nee Vaccara). Devoted father of Kirstin Powell (William), Amy Wilkens (John), and David Mallonee (Amber). Loving grandfather of Laurelei, Leo, and Eden.

Michael was a gentle soul, quiet, thoughtful, and insightful, with just the right sprinkle of silliness. He loved his family with a depth rivaled by none. His grandchildren were the starlight in his eyes. Michael loved music of all types, created some of his own, and enjoyed trying new things on his instruments. He enjoyed friends, a glass of wine, and a starry night. Hummingbirds delighted him as did the little frog that visited him nightly on the back deck. Michael never had to be told to ” stop and smell the roses” because he did it every day.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Thursday, July 6^th, 5:30-7:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral service 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Lisa, I only met Michael a few times at school events. What I do know is the joy that lit up your eyes and your smile when you spoke of him. "Kindred souls" is what I saw. He was such a beautiful person and a joy to know. I know it is so hard but take comfort in knowing he is out of pain and with God.
