Maureen Susan Pepe (nee Madden), (46), of Washington Township, NJ passed away after a brief, courageous battle with cancer on October 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Maureen Susan Pepe
(nee Madden), (46), of Washington Township, NJ passed away after a brief, courageous battle with cancer on October 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 7, 1978 to Frederick and Patricia (nee Murphy). Devoted mother to daughters Kaylee-Jo Pepe and Alyssa Pepe. Dear sister to Patricia D’Angelo (Anthony), Hillary-Jo Driscoll (Jeffrey), and Frederick Madden, III (Caroline). Beloved Aunt to Jace, Ava-Jo, Jeffrey Jr, Declan, Everly, and Saoirse. She will be missed by her grandfather, Frederick, Sr, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and partner Jay.
Maureen graduated from Washington Township High School in 1996. She dedicated her professional life to healthcare, having worked for many years in dialysis, emergency room services, and senior living. An avid sports fan, Maureen enjoyed spending time rooting for her beloved Phillies and Eagles. Her passion for music brought her to many concerts, with a catalog of favorites ranging from ABBA to Pearl Jam. But Maureen’s greatest love belonged to her girls, Kaylee and Alyssa. Instilling a passion for softball upon her daughters, Maureen went from an accomplished player to number one fan who brought unwavering support to each and every game. Known for her kindness, thoughtful care, infectious laugh, and signature smile, Maureen’s capacity to bring joy to others could outshine even the brightest of personalities. Her persistent bravery and courage are an inspiration to all who carry her legacy.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Friday 11:00am – 1:00pm at SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 PM
In honor of Maureen’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, her family would encourage any donations to the American Association of Cancer Research

I saw you across the room and went up to say "Hi" and you gave me the best Reenie smile (as you always could provide) and gave me a big hug and introduced me to Jay. I will treasure that moment now for the rest of my life. It was a moment that embodied you ... warm, welcoming, happy, caring and a smile that brings such joy to those who see it.

My sincere condolences to Maureen's loved ones. I only met Maureen a handful of times. She was kind and caring. Maureen came to meet my mother (Jay's grandmom) as she was about to enter hospice. Maureen was also there to show her support for our family during my brother's (Jay's step-father) illness and passing. Her compassion was unparalleled. But I will remember her most for the joy she brought to my nephew's life. She will be missed.
