On August 1, 2009, of Washington Township. Age 62. Loving mother of Jessica Graham and her fiancé Matthew Cajda. Dear daughter of the late Charles and Mary Carroll nee Greene. Also survived many dear cousins.

Maureen graduated from Temple University and in her early career worked with Cardinal Krol at the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and later for the Environmental Protection Agency. She then went on to be a journalist for the Courier-Post and while there was named employee of the year. She then became an investigative reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer for over 20 years. Maureen was presently a special investigator for the NJ State Attorney General.

She loved her work, but most of all loved spending time with her family and her dog, Chopper.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday 8:45 – 10:45 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Glassboro. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureen’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.

Jess, Your mother was one of the most fiercely loyal and caring friends anyone could hope to have. She was immensely talented, fearless and fun, and she talked constantly about how proud she was of you. Her honesty and integrity as a reporter, and her basic kindness and decency as a human being, will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her. Dear Jessica - I was overcome with sadness to hear of your mother's passing. She and I were friends for many years. We both worked at DSCP in the 1960s and began getting together socially. In fact, your mom introduced me to my first husband. I did have occasion to meet you when you were only a toddler at your grandparents' house at the shore.Although I spoke to your mom infrequently through the years, the last time around 2005, we still had the "bond" between us and scheduled a future date to meet for a reunion drink. With our time schedules, that never happened. I know that this is such a sad, difficult time for you and the family. Your mom was quite a woman, gifted with intelligence, wit, an off-beat sense of humor, and a deep loyalty to family and friends. If okay, I would like to send you a photo of us taken in 1970.
