Maura “Moe” Skelly, happily married to her high school sweetheart, Jerry, for 46 years. Moe was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts before moving to Washington Township in 1967 where she has remained an active and beloved member of the community.
Maura, a loving mother of 3 children remained involved with her kid’s activities and was always there to root them on as their number one fan. However, so many people she came in contact with also considered her Mom. She redefined open door policy for friends and family. While raising three kids, there was always a house full of friends, family, and neighbors. Gatherings continued to grow as her family expanded to include eight grandchildren who always brought her so much joy each and every day.
Moe’s love for her family, her participation as a member of the Wedgewood Women’s club, and her involvement as a parishioner and parish council member at Saints Peter and Paul Church will leave a lasting legacy on the community.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 PM.
