Mary E. Sockwell

Mary Evelyn Sockwell, on August 6, 2021, of Franklinville, age 79. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Franklin Warren Sockwell. Loving mother of Franklin W. Sockwell, Russell W. Sockwell and his wife Peggy, Belinda G. Kalnas and her husband Chuck (predeceased), Steven C. Sockwell and his wife Angie, and Martin R. Sockwell and his wife Nicole. Devoted grandmother to many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved very much.

Mary was originally trained as a cosmetologist, and was previously employed by Sears Roebuck in Vineland, NJ for many years. Upon her retirement she went on to do volunteer work at Elmer Community Hospital. Mary enjoyed spending her free time doing yard work and tending to her flower gardens and supporting her husband Warren in his various farming adventures over the years. She also spent many hours tending to her fishpond.   But her greatest joy was raising her five children, to whom she was truly dedicated.

Mary requested that her services be private for her family. In lieu of sending flowers or other terms of sympathy, the family asks that donations in her memory be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8^th Avenue, 16^th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
