Mary Buonpastore

(nee Venturella) On September 14, 2021 of Blackwood.  Age 94.  Beloved wife of the late Dominic.  Devoted mother of Joseph Buonpastore (Tricia), Robert Buonpastore, and Kathy Lucchetti (Joseph).  Loving grandmother of Joseph (Christy), Robert, Capri, Tara, Dominique, and Valentina.  Proud great-grandmother of Micheala, Joseph, Christian, Juliet, Sonny, and Charlotte.  Dear sister of Eleanor Buonpastore, the late Catherine Venturella, and the late Jill D’Ancona.

Mary was the second of four sisters born to Mariano and Amelia Venturella. Even though they grew up poor in South Philadelphia, Mary found joy in the simple things of life. She went to work in retail at an early age and found her love for clothes and shopping. Some of Mary’s other favorite things in life were taking trips to the casino, Wildwood, New York City, and the whole Christmas season. In November of 1949, she married the love of her life Dominic. Together they spent 65 wonderful years together. Mary had the most beautiful smile that would light up a room. Nothing would make Mary smile more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the most unselfish person with the kindest heart. Our lives will never be the same without her. She will forever be in our hearts and will be missed greatly.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday, September 20^th     10:30 AM-12:00 PM at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, 362 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp.  Mass of Christian Burial 12:15 PM.  Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
