Patrick and I were so very sorry to hear about Maryann. What a lovely lady and the best neighbor anyone could ask for. We are sending the family prayers during this difficult time.

Dear DeVecchis Family- Sending prayers, support and love. Your Mom was such a faith-filled, caring, and reinforcing woman who always remembered so many specifics of another’s life. We always enjoyed interacting with her and your dad after Mass at Holy Family and subsequently on Facebook. We didn’t find out about her passing until 9/27 at Mass. So sorry that we missed her funeral Mass. The tribute was beautiful! God’s Peace be with all of you. 💜🙏

May Mary Anne’s memory be for a blessing to her sons and their wives and those beautiful 8 grandchildren. I’d like to share this: Mary Anne and I began our teaching careers together when we were 22 in West Chester, PA. What sealed our friendship then was our adventures on Spring Break to Miami and Orlando. The fact that Mrs. Tracy, of blessed memory, allowed Mary Anne to go off on this trip was a big deal! We enjoyed going to the Marriott for Fridays with Frank together in those days. I enjoyed all the stories she would tell me when we would talk on the phone through the years-meeting her beloved Frank, raising their sons together and then the gift of their precious grandchildren My life has been enriched by this beautiful soul, who was a huge part of my life. She was like a sister to me. I will miss her but I will carry her spirit and love with me forever.

So sorry for your loss. A beautiful lady inside and out. Before school Spanish was so much fun with Mrs DelVecchis. RIP beautiful lady❤️

When your friends have a mom like Mrs. DeVecchis, it is impossible not to know love - because she gave it to all who entered that house. How blessed was I to have grown up with her in my life! Were it not for Auntie Mary Anne, I would not have known the sound of Frank Sinatra, what patron saint went with which day, or what teachers were like when they weren't teaching. Speaking of... I don't remember asking for as many Spanish lessons as I received, but I cherish them. It is no wonder that, upon meeting the woman I was sure I would marry, I brought Gina to two houses when she first came to Washington Tpw.: my own, and 1 Hickory Cir. I recall my excitement that Mrs. DeVecchis would get to meet Gina. But, not that I really think about it, it was absolutely the other way around. I will love her always. Que Dios la tenga en su gloria!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Maryanne was a dear friend and colleague whom I first met when I began teaching at Logan Elementary in the late 1990s. She was my mentor as I went through a provisional teaching program in New Jersey and I couldn't have asked for a better mentor! She was very supportive when Italian was added to the curriculum. We shared an office and many jokes as we wound through each day on our carts and we traded ideas for instruction and projects on a daily basis. She was always upbeat and of course everyone loved her. Since many of the younger children did not know her name she was always Maestra to them. I dubbed myself Maestra dos as she was the one and only Maestra. To the staff's consternation we always made a big fuss over Cinco de Mayo celebrations with songs she made up of snacks that made the front office smell like a salsa joint. She spoke daily of her family with great love and pride. After I retired I kept in touch and though I hadn't seen her in a few years we did talk, about her family and mine and those wonderful days at Logan. I was driving up 55 on Sunday thining about her and saying a prayer for her. She was blessed to be with her family at the end and will now be reunited with her beloved Frank. My family sends our love and I will always treasure our time together. Rest in peace Maestra. You will always be in our hearts. Jeanne (Maestra Dos)

My husband and children were very sorry to hear about the loss of dear "La Maestra". My children remember her as kind, loving, and made learning the spanish language fun. I remember her sense of humor and smile. I love the stories she would tell me about her husband Frank, Frank Sinatra, and Barry Manilow. Also how she loved her sons, their wives, and grandchildren. We will miss her, but cherish the precious memories.

Frank, Nick and Joe my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beautiful mother. I first met her on a school field trip for Joe and my daughter, Laura and our friendship continued thru out the years as we became those crazy marching band parents in HS! We shared many a laugh with your parents and boy could your mom make my George laugh! Such great memories! May she be dancing in heaven with her beloved Frank! May a lifetime of cherished memories bring comfort and peace to all of you! Love, Mrs. H

Dear Frankie, Nick, and Joe, I am so sorry to read about Mom's passing. I had talked to her often the past few months about my sister Anne. Ironically, your Mom's funeral and Anne's will be on the same day. Your Mom was one of a kind, and that kind was a very special person. I have known her for a long time, and I cannot remember a time when she didn't make me smile. She is with your Dad now, and I am sure Frank Sinatra is playing and they are dancing. I will keep all of you in my prayers as you celebrate her life on Friday. Love, Mrs. Camiolo

Beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady...inside and out. From high school home room to college dorm rooms to weddings, graduations, and more weddings; from childhood to adulthood to aging with grace...Mary Anne was a dear friend, and a real change agent in my life. I'll miss you, roommate, but I'm so happy you are enjoying the good life with Frank, not "Dancing in the Dark" this time, but dancing in the Light. The family you nurtured will carry on with all the love, understanding, and grace you showed them. Rest in peace.
