Mary Anne DeVecchis
(nee Tracy) passed from this life in the company of her sons on September 21, 2025.
Born December 30, 1950, to Anna (DiLemmo) and Thomas Tracy, Mary Anne was raised in the company of her beloved brother Nicholas [Nick] in West Philadelphia and Lansdowne, PA. She was a proud alumna of Archbishop Prendergast High School and West Chester University.
She married the love of her life, Francis M. [Frank] DeVecchis on October 20, 1979. Together they had three sons and their home on Hickory Circle in Washington Twp., NJ bore witness to countless family celebrations, Sunday dinners, CCD lessons, coffee talks, and, on Friday nights, dances in the kitchen to Sinatra. It was a warm place where all were always welcome.
Mary Anne was a lifelong educator who instilled a love of the Spanish language through enthusiasm, art, and music to hundreds of students in the Wenonah, Washington Twp. & Logan school districts.
As devoted parents, Mary Anne and Frank were fixtures on fields, courts, pools, and auditoriums but outside their home, no place was more important to them than the Church of the Holy Family – the supportive community in which they practiced their shared faith, raised their family, and forged lifelong friendships.
Kind, funny, loving, and always as willing to lend an ear as she was to bend one, Mary Anne’s enormous capacity for love made her a dear sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Though of all her titles, the most important was MomMom.
Mary Anne is survived by her sons Frank (Lindsay), Nick (Jamie), and Joe (Theresa) and adoring/adored grandchildren Ryan, Jack, Emily, Timmy, Cecilia, Robbie, Juliana, & Zachary.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 6:00 – 8:30 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. And Friday 9:45 – 10:45 am at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
In honor of Mary Anne’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, her family would encourage any donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 226 Hurffville Road, Sewell, NJ 08080.
