Dear Tina, Richie, Joey, Karen, Kent and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I remember him as a sweet and loving little boy who grew up to be a sweet and loving man. I know he will be sadly missed by everyone!
With Love,
Cousin Barbara
Mark you will be sorely missed my good friend. My heartfelt condolences go out to Tina, Richie, Joey and all your family.
I have been blessed to know you since we were both kids running the streets of South Philly. Some of my earliest memories are of you and me skate boarding up and down Chadwick St. You and I were part of a group of friends who have kept in touch and stay tight up to the present day. So many years and so many memories - St. Thomas, Stephen Girard, 17th St., Sigel St., Cut thru the alleys, Half Ball, Fist Ball, Street Hockey, Fumbles, Awning Ball, Wall Ball, Jail Break, Joe Diamonds, Central High, Subway rides, Riding in the Malibu, Riding in the Vega, Taking the Schuylkill, The Hump, Skipping School, 3 Bob 3, CCP, The Lakes, Gemini's, Member's Only, The Station, Strip Search, Cards, The Commissioner, Linda Ronstadt, Rolling Stones, Thriller, Meat Loaf, 3 Stooges, Wildwood, Margate and fishing trips - and that is only some of the memories from the first 10 years I knew you.
You were always level headed, quick with a joke and ready to help a friend whenever needed. As the years went on there were new jobs, new careers, weddings, funerals, kids, new houses, new cities and new cars; but through chance or fate we grew to become even closer friends. I wouldn't see you in months but as soon as I called you we would be meeting up and shooting the breeze like we just saw each other yesterday. You were never judgmental and I never heard you say a bad thing about anyone. You were a true, caring and sincere friend. When I was going thru some of the darkest days of my life, you were there for me. Reaching out to me and including me in your family activities just so I wouldn't have to be alone with myself. When you first told me about your illness years ago I was very sad and concerned for you. You didn't deserve this terrible break that life had thrown at you; but you never let it get you down. You were always positive and never complained about your treatments or what you had to go thru. It was heartbreaking to hear what you had to endure at the end but thank God he gave you Tina to look over you, to love you and be your advocate. To fight for you when you couldn't and at the end to help you let go. You will be missed but you will never be forgotten! Love you and Rest in Peace!
Words cannot express how I feel about Mark. We’ve been good friends for almost 50 years. He was my best man, taught me how to drive in the blue Malibu and was always there when I needed him. Mark was there for anyone who needed anything. It’s impossible to list all the great memories of playing sports, cards, fishing and everything else we did together with our mutual lifelong group of friends. He will truly be missed and Heaven is lucky to have him. I only wish he didn’t have to suffer to get there. My heart goes out to Tina, Richie, Joey and all of his Family. God Bless You Mark. Love You Buddy.
Mark, words cannot convey the sense of loss I feel. I was 17 years old when you were born and a baby brother came into my life. This age difference put a unique slant on the typical brother relationship. I was old enough to have been a father, and that played a role in our relationship. We didn't grow up with the typical brother squabbles and roughhousing-but that didn't change my love for you. I remember sitting, with you on my lap, watching "Kimba-The White Lion"(your favorite show at the time). I remember that Christmas when you were 12 and I gave you a Fairchild Console-one of the video game systems and the hours playing Pong. Then there were the summers in Margate- going to the beach and to the boardwalk, or the times we went miniature golfing with Mom, Dad and Karen and getting ice cream afterwards. And, as you got older, renting a boat at Scotts Dock and those fishing adventures. These are just a few of the memories that will live on with me. Now, I wish I had said these things sooner. When you got sick, I wish I told you how much it hurt me to see the setbacks, yet how proud I was with your inner strength and determination. I will always be proud of you. I will always love you.
I knew Mark as part of IBC. I remember him as a good person. I pray his next journey will be a good one. My condolences to his family and many friends.

Our hearts are broken and we are all grieving right now but know that the boys of summer are together again. We will cherish his memory forever. Sleep warm Mark. Love, Linda
Mark, I love you. I know we didn't say the words very often, but I love you.
We hadn't seen much of each other in the last few years, and that you weren't much of a phone talker, but I love you.
I can still see you in Mommy's arms, on the front porch, wrapped up in a blanket with your little red face and a clump a black hair coming home from the hospital. Daddy always said you looked like one of the Beatles. I loved you that day.
I remember running after you around the house, and the time when you slipped on the rug and cracked your head against the door jamb and needed stitches. For years saying I did it -- and on purpose.
I remember Kent and I watching and taking care of you each summer, until you could take care of yourself.
I remember the shore, on your bike, picking up girls, you were just 7.
I remember being jealous when you went on a cruise when you graduated high school; I wasn't allowed to go to the shore alone when I was that age.
I remember, so many things, more than you can imagine because I love you.
I remember how you smiled, how you laughed, and how you cared.
I know you are with Mommy and Daddy now, and they love you.
I will always remember and love you.
WE NEVER MET HIM ,WE FEEL WE KNEW HIM BY YOUR MANY POST ABOUT HIM.WE ARE VERY SORRY FOR YOU LOSS.
