Marie Stella Imperato (nee Morrone) on June 13, 2019, of Williamstown, formerly of Washington Twp.  Age 85.  Beloved wife of the late Rocco R..  Devoted mother of Michael (Kathleen), Rocky Jr. (Mary), Robert (Jackie), Anthony and Marc (Dawn).  Loving grandmother of Ann, Rocky III (Lindsey), Janine (Sal), Richard, Steven (Val), Jennifer, Michele, Gina, Dominic, Santino and Kristie (Matt).  Proud great-grandmother of Rocky IV, Dylan, Gianna, Elijah, Dean and Landon.  Dear sister of Nancy Scafisi.

Marie Stella, as she was known to her husband, family and friends, was a wonderful, loving woman with a very generous, warm heart who wore many hats during her life from wife to mother to sister to daughter to Nana and Great Nana to Aunt to friend and colleague.  Multi-tasking and cooking was her specialty. Waking up on a Sunday morning to the aroma of meatballs, sausage and beef braciola simmering in “gravy” (not tomato sauce) was one of her many culinary specialties.  Her grandchildren will miss her famous chicken cutlets along with her beloved Nana’s ricotta cookies.  Nobody does it like Nana.  No matter what, there was always plenty of food on hand to serve her large family along with others who might stop to visit.  A mother of five sons was her legacy, which helped earned her wings that will now carry her to heaven where she will rest easy knowing her family will be fine and that she is back with her husband.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Monday 9:00 – 10:45 am at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stagecoach Road, Sicklerville, NJ 08081.  Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
