Marie R. Cusumano-DePinto

On January 8, 2022 of Washington Twp. Age 79. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore. Devoted mother of Colleen Macalino (David) and Renee Williams (Greg). Loving grandmother of Anthony, David, Austin, Ashley, and Abel.  Dear sister of Charles Cusumano, Roy Cusumano, and the late Joseph Cusumano and Frank Cusumano.

Marie and her beloved Sal (until) his death were snowbirds and had a lovely home in Orlando, Florida in addition to her home in Washington Township.  She was a member of the Assembly of God in Florida and Gloucester County Community Church in New Jersey.  She had many beloved friends in both communities.

Marie loved life, her family, friends and Jesus.  She had a special bond with her grandchildren and loved them more than anything.  They could do no wrong in her eyes and she was always there for them in every way.  Marie always encouraged her daughters to be the best version of themselves and pursue their dreams.

She was generous, kind and loving to everyone.  She shared her love through her cooking.  She was a great cook and was always ready to feed an army. She enjoyed needle point and painting and was very creative and artistic. She was a fashionista and a bargain hunter, and she always looked like a million dollars.

She loved dancing, music, entertaining, socializing, going out with her friends and just having fun!  She was friendly and outgoing and would strike up a conversation with a stranger who would ultimately end up as one of her new friends.

Marie was a feisty little whipper snapper!  She was full of energy and love.  We will miss you dearly.  We will miss your smile, kindness and loving ways.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Gloucester County Community Church, 359 Chapel Heights Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080. Memorial service 11:00 AM.

Aunt Marie was the best Aunt you could ever ask for! Always listening, always giving guidance, always giving a perspective to my own parents (her siblings) so that I could understand them better. Her care and joy for others was so evident! She radiated that joy to all that crossed her path. Her love for Jesus became more pronounced as she aged. She was always ‘larger than life’ when I was a kid! In adulthood she showed up and showed out whenever you needed her. We could all use a few more Aunt Marie types in our lives. RIP, but I am sure there is no Rest for your dancing soul in Heaven! I know you are with your creator and Joyful as ever! We love and remember you Aunt Marie!
