Marie J. Korpalski

(nee Ierardi)  On April 25, 2020 of Washington Twp.  Age 90.  Beloved wife of the late Francis.  Devoted mother of Susan Panichelle and her husband Stephen.  Loving grandmother of Michael.  Dear sister of Peter (Frances).

Marie was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School.  She met her husband while she was working at the Signal Corp and he was attending business school.  She worked for the Department of Defense for over 30 years where she held several positions in medical subsistence.  She enjoyed travelling with Frank to Vegas, Bahamas, cruises, and Florida, as well as going to the AC Casinos to play the slots.

Marie loved to watch Fred Astaire movies and Frank Sinatra was her favorite singer.  Her grandson Michael was her pride and joy.  They were always together from when he was a baby.  As he got older, he would take her on a date to the hairdresser and out to lunch.  She absolutely loved seeing him and made sure everyone knew about her Michael.

For the last 6 years of her life, she resided at Cardinal Village Retirement Community in Sewell where she was loved and cared for.  She was a regular at daily activities, movies, holiday parties and bingo.

Marie’s life will be honored and remembered privately by family due to the health crisis of COVID-19.

Marie’s life will be celebrated with family and friends at a later date.
