Marianne O’Donnell, on June 17, 2015, of Millstone Twp. Age 62. Marianne is survived by her mother Elizabeth (nee Goeller) and father the late Joseph O’Donnell, siblings Patricia Meehan (Kevin), Joseph O’Donnell (Chris Kirchner), Eileen O’Donnell (Bruce Kaplan) and Paul O’Donnell (Suzanne), dear friend Kara Cutino and many loving nieces and nephews.
Marianne’s illness didn’t define her, but drove her to embrace life with great gusto. She traveled extensively with her loved ones to foreign lands too many to list. She found great passion in planning the next trip, the discovery of a great bottle of wine or a quiet walk through a garden in full bloom. She had a thirst for experience and knowledge that was insatiable.
She held her family close, always present in their lives and was thrilled to be an Aunt and Great Aunt to 13 nieces and nephews. She was a loyal daughter to her mother, a devoted sister to her siblings and a good mom to her dog, Ginger.
She was a shoulder to cry on when needed, a trusted confidant with solid advice and always, always the captain of the ship.
We prefer to think of Marianne not as gone, but on a fantastic adventure that she planned but just didn’t include us this time.
She is much loved and will be sorely missed by those who loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Sunday 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 11:00 AM, Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish – Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Glassboro. Entombment All Saints Cemetery, Newfield.
