Margaret R. Damiani nee DiPatre

On May 15, 2011 of Washington Twp. Age 86. Beloved wife of the late Vincent J. Damiani, Sr. Loving mother of Vincent, Jr. Kathy, Sofia and John Donna Damiani. Loving grandmother of six. Proud great-grandmother of nine. Great-great-grandmother of one. Dear sister of Ida Mango and the late Frank and Dominick DiPatre. Also survived by Dolores Kucza whom she loved as a daughter.

Margaret Damiani was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She truly loved and lived for her family. Cooking and baking were her enjoyments, fulfilling the bellies of her loved ones. Playing with children made her happy. At 80 years old, she did a split. The family couldn’t believe it and have pictures to prove it!

Margaret liked playing bingo at the Washington Twp. Senior Center, where she made some nice friendships. Her favorite companion in her later years was her bird, “Angel”. Her daughter called him “Bad Boy”.

Margaret never complained no matter what the hardship she had to endure. All the nurses and aides commented on how they wished all patients could be like Ms. Damiani.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 8:30-10:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Rd. Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am at SS Peter & Paul RC Church Washington Twp. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Prince Chunk Foundation, P.O. Box 8044, Blackwood, NJ 08012.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Kennedy Rehabilitation Center and Kennedy Health Care Center of Washington Twp. for all the care they gave to our mother. It is greatly appreciated!

My most sincere condolences to the Damiani family, who have been like a second family to me for the last 20+ years. Even though I only met her once in person, I always felt as if I knew her well because my best friend Kathy told me so many wonderful stories about her Grandma and family. Heaven has gained another angel, and I'm sure she will continue to watch over her family from above. My love and prayers are with you all.

My heart breaks at the loss of my grandmother and rejoices at all the memories of the time spent with her. The earliest memory of her was at church when I was 4, singing with her and not being able to see over the pews.The best was the big water balloon fight when mom came home from work and found grandma in the kitchen with a laundry basket full or water balloons and water from the front door to the back door and every kid in the neighborhood in the yard soaking wet and thousands of broken balloons in the grass.That was a great day! The day at the beach when the waves were so rough that she kept getting knocked over and all she could do was laugh uncontrollably, we all had to help get to the shore.Love you and miss you Grandma..xoxoxo

My memory of Marge is that she was a very "happy" person, never with any complaints and only good things to say about people. She was a great influence on my sister and she was always there for her. I believe she is now in heaven dancing away with her husband Vincent. In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. Love, Sherry Kulikausky

Dear Sofia and Family, What a beautiful woman inside and out your mother was! It was a pleasure to get to know her and help care for her the last few months of her life. She was wonderful. I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sorry that I won't be able to attend the services Thursday morning, but I will be working. Take comfort that she is at peace now and playing bingo in heaven with your Dad.
