Margaret A. Herman
(nee Constantino), age 95, on June 11, 2023. She is survived by her nephew Scott Keagy, his wife Deborah, and nephew Brian Keagy; niece Patricia Conaway and her husband Michael and great nieces Taylor, Summer and Brooke. She is pre-deceased by her sister Joan.
Margaret was born in Philadelphia and brought up in the same city for 21 years. She went to William Penn High School and graduated in 1944. She worked for John Ellis & Brothers and Westinghouse in Philadelphia for 3 years. During the war she also worked for a short time at the Navy Yard in salvage and distribution. At that time, she married Ralph Herman of Camden, NJ who is deceased and was married for 69 years.
After she married, she worked with her husband at Garlock Inc, as a dictation operator and secretary to the sales manager for 10 years at which time she left Garlock and worked for the Dilks Agency in Collingswood, NJ for another 10 years.
Margaret then retired after 25 years and lived the good life at Long Beach Island with her husband for 30 years. Ralph and Margaret subsequently moved to The Village of Country Gardens in Mantua, NJ in 2012.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, June 19, 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park, 280 Wells Mill Rd, Waretown, NJ on Tuesday, June 20 at 10:30 a.m.
