Louis A.
Went home to meet the Lord on August 3, 2011, with his family by his side. Age 92. Born in South Philly. He later married Ruth Minix and moved to Washington Township in 1963, where they raised 11 children, Michael Lisa, George J., James L. Beth, John A. Charlene, Catherine A. McCann James, Barbara Chrisman David, David Linda, Mary E. Greg, Annamarie Chris, Patricia DiGiacomo Paul, and Susan R. Grandfather of 19 and great-grandfather of 3. Dear brother of Reynold and George.
Louis was an Army veteran of WWII and he was awarded 3 Bronze Battle Stars in the Pacific Theater, the Purple Heart from Guadalcanal and a Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 2 Bronze Battle Stars . He retired from Carpenter Local 393 Camden after 50 years of service. Louis was a devout Catholic and used his God-given talents to help with projects at Holy Family Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday evening 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Saturday morning 8:15 to 9:15 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Township. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, Washington Township. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown. In lieu of flowers donations in Louis’ memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3 Eves Drive, Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053 or Catholic Diocese “House of Charity” c/o SS Peter & Paul RC Church, 362 Ganttown Road, Turnersville NJ 08012.

Many great and funny memories. A dose of reality for me one day at Chris & Anna's house. When our family first arrived that day Mr. Guida was at the kitchen table smiling and eating something yummy. I walked over to hug him and he told me, "Yea, yea, you're still looking alright." Still?!, Alright?! Time marches on... Not sure exactly who was standing nearby but we all started laughing. Of course, he meant it in the kindest way. Love the photo, what a smile!
