Loretta Foran (nee Rufo), on April 4, 2019, of Washington Twp. Age 85. Beloved wife of the late Thomas. Devoted mother of Michael J., Thomas F., and Laura L. Kuzdrall. Loving grandmother of Regan, Danielle, and Anna.

Born in South Philadelphia, Loretta started singing at a young age. Her incredible talent opened up doors into the world of Opera where she met the love of her life, Tom, who also shared her passion for singing. Loretta was very involved in the church. She was a woman of devotion and faith in our Lord. She was a very devoted mother and active in their lives. She fought bravely over the last few years when she was diagnosed with cancer and has been an inspiration to others. She was very strong and never gave up hope. She looked on the bright side of everything. She was compassionate and loving. Loved to laugh and make others laugh with her. Her smile and personality would light up any room. She was beautiful inside and out.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Tuesday 8:15 – 9:15 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am at the Church of the Holy Family, Washington Twp. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

I remember the times when your mom and I would travel to visit historic churches all over Philadelphia and South. I would play the organ and your mom would sing Ave Maria. My fondest memories are those when we traveled with our choir to Ireland and we sang in Cathedrals in Cork, Galway, Dublin and Dingle for the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. She always made us laugh, and had the voice of an angel. May she rest in peace!

I first met Loretta 25 years ago through Friends of The Sacred Hearts at Holy Family. She and the Friends of The Sacred Hearts agreed to sponsor a benefit dinner to help secure funding for the Bill Lorge Scholarship. I can honestly say if it weren’t for Loretta, the Bill Lorge Scholarship might have never existed. She was a fantastic lady who I admired a great deal. God bless you Loretta.
