Lloyd W. Eager

On April 23, 2011, of Barnegat Light, NJ. Age 94. Beloved father of Christian Eager, Jay Eager and Pamela Paul Sodaski. Loving grandfather of PJ and Taylor. Dear brother of Evelin McGinnis. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews, as well as dear friends Rose Hamilton and Judy Morgan.

Lloyd took responsibility for his family after his father had passed away, putting his siblings through college as he was attending college as well. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and moved to the rank of Captain. Lloyd retired from his job as Director of Accounting and Research for Campbell Soup Company in Camden, NJ, and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed making oil paintings and carvings of birds.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

My dad and I were eating some fish chowder, which remined him of the time Lloyd used his recipe to make some of his own. The we talked about some of the old times they went hunting and fishing up here in Quebec. I met only a couple of time but he was a good friend, and co-worker of my father. We wondered where he might be now and I discovered this when checking on the internet. My father was lucky to have a friend like him.
