(nee Brennan) on January 15, 2020, of Philadelphia. Age 88. Beloved wife of the late Edward, Sr. Devoted mother of John (Tracy), Edward (Peggy), Joseph (Liz), Michael and Christopher Kirk (Maria). Dear mother in-law of Rosalind Kirk. Loving grandmother of John, Timothy, Daniel, Edward III, Danielle, Donna-Marie, Diana, Kelly, Joshua, Natalia, Dorothy, Marissa and Jason. Proud great grandmother of Johnny, Vivian, Mariana, Giana, Marco, Carlo, Evan and Gabriella . Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Letty was the youngest of a large family growing up in Creeslough, County Donegal.
A devout Catholic who instilled her faith in her children. She worked for a time in England before immigrating to the US following her brother John. At an Irish dance hall she met the love of her life, Ed. Within 2 years she was married and soon after started a family being a stay at home mom raising 5 sons.
She enjoyed spending time at the shore during the summer. Boscov’s, casinos and family were her favorites, not necessarily in that order. She always had time for her grandchildren and then her great-grandchildren attending many of their school and sports activities. She will be missed by all the lives she has touched.
Family and friends are invited to attend viewing on Tuesday 7:00 –9:00 pm, at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Turnersville, NJ and Wednesday 9:00 – 9:45 am, at St. Katherine of Siena RC Church, 9700 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am. Interment St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Letitia’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Research Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
